People and their fear of the unknown: Fear is a book constructed with systems and proportions, fine lines with no apparent meaning that ensure the closeness of what is drawn beneath them. These lines constantly reject any sketch that exceeds our expectations and capabilities. Their only dilemma is whether to take what is different or unknown and create a new book for it, where the lines will serve to standardize that object. In this way, society excludes what causes it fear, under a thin layer of false acceptance. This is modern society, and the new lines that construct it trace the identity values that subjugate it; all governed by the same system of proportions of a fearful humanity.

Thus, this fear governs, rises above humanity, and makes decisions for it. Fear, the cause of prejudices and senseless norms, boils through the veins and incites people to belong to the world. In this desperate act to become part of it, humans are capable of rejecting their uniqueness to become one with it.

The fear of accepting our appearance and finding beauty in it, a lack of recognition of one's own image, a sense of absence in the body possessed by this spirit; a desperate attempt at mass identity and cultural homogenization. The individual, especially women, coerced by mass media and consumerism, turns to treatments and procedures to get a little closer to the generalized identity. This identity has been imposed, directly or indirectly, by the very methods to which they are subjected: plastic surgery. Their transformation is directed and evaluated step by step by a surgeon, who metaphorically acts as a god sculptor of a body. After intervening and disturbing its basic system, the woman is ready to be just another object in the world’s showcase. She has hybridized under the standards that surgery has imposed on her.

Las personas y su miedo a lo desconocido; el temor es un libro construido con sistemas y proporciones, finas líneas sin significado aparente que aseguran la cercanía de aquello dibujado bajo las mismas, rechazan constantemente cualquier esbozo de algo que supere nuestras expectativas y capacidades. Su única disyuntiva es tomar lo diferente o desconocido, crearle un libro nuevo cuyas líneas tendrán como labor estandarizar dicho objeto. De esta manera la sociedad excluye aquello que le causa miedo, bajo una fina capa de falsa aceptación. Así es la sociedad moderna y estas nuevas líneas que la construyen trazan los valores identitarios que la subyugan; todos regidos bajo el mismo sistema de proporciones de una humanidad temerosa.

Por tanto, este miedo gobierna, se eleva sobre la humanidad y toma decisiones por él. El miedo, causante de prejuicios y normas insensatas, este miedo que hierve por la venas incita a pertenecer al mundo y en ese actuar desesperado por formar parte del él, el ser humano es capaz de rechazar su unanimidad por volverse uno con él. El miedo de aceptar nuestra apariencia y encontrar belleza en ella, una falta de reconocimiento de la imagen propia, un sentido de ausencia en el cuerpo poseído por este espíritu; intento desesperado de identidad masiva y de homogenización cultural, el sujeto, la mujer, coaccionada por los medios masivos de comunicación y consumismo recurre a tratamientos y procedimientos que le acerquen un poco más a la identidad generalizada. Esta identidad ha sido impuesta, directa o indirectamente por los mismos métodos a los que es sometida: la cirugía plástica; su transformación es dirigida y evaluada paso a paso por un cirujano, quien metafóricamente se desempeña como un dios escultor de un cuerpo, y después de intervenir y perturbar su sistema básico, la mujer está lista para ser un objeto más en la vitrina del mundo. Ha hibridado bajo los estándares que la cirugía le ha impuesto.
